Graduate development and education at PhD level in the fields of nanoscience/nanotechnology and photonics is a central part of the strategy for INSPIRE.
INSPIRE aims to develop new post-graduate training programs designed to produce high quality graduates at PhD level in nanoscience/nanotechnology and photonics and complementary areas such as computational mechanics.
INSPIRE Initiatives will include:
- Sharing of expertise and remote delivery of specialised courses between institutions
- Support of National Student Conference
- Establishment of Research Training Facilities
Such initiatives will encourage and support the development of students, giving them the learnt and hands on experience required to become high quality graduates fully prepared for future careers in research.
Confirming Ireland’s position as a leading post graduate education location for nanoelectronics, photonics and bionanotechnology.
